so last... winter? march ish, probably, I lost a tube of nude lipstick which is not the end of the world by any kind of standard, but it was kind of heart shattering in a very mundane way FOR ME PERSONALLY.

It had been the first nice quality, slightly expensive lipstick I bought for myself with my own money because it made me feel good when I wore it, and I did wear it nearly every day. I thought it rolled out of a pocket somewhere but I had no way of knowing where or when exactly so when I realized it was gone it really felt like it was just Gone. & it is just lipstick so I went on with mine life, but then I couldn't order a replacement? so I ended up buying a slightly darker color which did the job but it just wasn't the same & then through the rest of the term and over the summer I just felt terrible. you all know you saw .

but then today at work was so,,, so slow. no one was coming in so I was rearranging the desks to be more organized and like........ I thought I recognized the tube shape sitting below the radiator and it really was like, no way this cannot be it it's been way too long and I could have dropped it anywhere. but I pulled it out from below the grates and checked and it was still velvet teddy with the smudged sticker on the end so I was like Okay This couldn't have survived through the winter under a radiator without melting and when I took the cap off it was STILL EXACTLY half used like I had left it and unmelted ?

this is probably unsanitary but I was so thrilled I immediately ran to the bathroom and put it on and it still looked sooo good and felt so creamy and perfect so I walked back into the writing center my only other coworker looked up and immediately complimented how much it suited me.

SO yes long story short I did cry a little about finding my old lipstick today. thank you
